Job Summary The OPS Data Assistant provides essential data entry and support services for the Office of Institutional Research. This position focuses primarily on collecting, organizing, and entering Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) data and supports data integrity efforts for various institutional research projects, including assisting with Instruction and Research Data (IRD) file submissions. Job Description Typical duties include but not limited to: General office duties, such as: Collect, review, organize, and accurately enter Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) data within established deadlines. Perform data entry and thorough data cleaning tasks, identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors to ensure faculty activity accuracy. Collaborate closely with the Data Management Analyst to troubleshoot and correct data issues for the Instruction and Research Data (IRD) submissions. Communicate proactively with faculty members to clarify and resolve questions or issues related to FAR data, requiring persistence and effective follow-up to obtain necessary information. Proficiency in fundamental mathematical concepts and applications.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of data entry experience entering large volumes of data and documents into a computer system by established deadlines. Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to complete tasks on time. Highly attentive to detail when performing data entry skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Knowledge of general office procedures. Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision. Perform duties as onsite Campus office.
