Job Overview:

The computer desk operator is responsible for performing data entry work using a personal computer and appropriate software; entering, updating, researching, verifying and/or retrieving data into/from various systems; and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information recorded.

Responsibilities:

• Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations
• Maintain accurate records of system operations and error logs
• Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output

Skills:

• Experience working in an administrative or office environment
• Proficiency in using computer applications.
• Ability to transcribe information accurately and efficiently
• Familiarity with basic computer hardware and software concepts
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work well under pressure

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Schedule Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm
