Job Description

Data Entry Specialist 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Largo, FL 33771 Job Summary The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for the data entry and maintenance of the recorded data within BlueSky Financial and MRP systems. The Data Entry Specialist reviews, matches, and processes customer sales orders and supplier invoices for multiple companies. The Data Entry Specialist interfaces regularly with the Operations, Purchasing, and the Customer Service departments while taking direction from the Senior Accountant. Responsibilities Accurately input customer orders into the system. Match Purchase Order and Quote to create a Sales Order in the Sage Software. Verify customer information is entered accurately into the software. Verify customer onboarding documentation is correct and electronically filed. Process orders for billing. Receive and enter supplier invoices into the system. Match Purchase Order to Invoice with a focus on Quantities and Price. Enter into the appropriate system. Review department and GL accounts for accuracy. Respond to internal and external requests as applicable. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis. Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to quickly identify and compare information from multiple documents. Scan, file, and organize electronic documents. Ability to articulate errors and/or document inconsistencies. Attention to detail is required to ensure operational efficiency.

Education and Experience:

Associates degree required, accounting coursework preferred. Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer in an often noisy environment. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds.
