Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Augusta, Georgia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate data entry and organization for construction management processes. This position offers the opportunity to work for at least 2.5 weeks, with the potential for extension based on performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Enter detailed floor plans and cost-related data into construction management software with precision.
  • Verify and cross-check data for accuracy and completeness using Excel tools and formulas.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining digital files to ensure accessibility and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the VP and purchasing manager to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Perform calculations and comparisons to ensure data alignment with construction cost accounting standards.
  • Utilize email correspondence to communicate updates and resolve any data-related queries.
  • Scan and digitize documents for streamlined record-keeping.
  • Apply knowledge of construction processes and accounting principles to support data entry tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Meet deadlines and contribute to the successful transition to new software systems. Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas and data validation.
  • Strong typing and 10-key skills for efficient and accurate data entry.
  • Familiarity with construction cost accounting principles and processes.
  • Experience using Sage Timberline Software or similar construction management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for email correspondence and team collaboration.
  • Prior experience in data entry within the construction industry is preferred.
