Data Processing Clerk Associated Musicians of Greater New York, Local 802 AFM 25 West 45th Street, New York, NY 10036 The Associated Musicians of Greater New York, Local 802 AFM seeks a Data Processing Clerk. This is a full-time Grade III – Grade IV bargaining unit position, under the terms of the OPEIU Local 153 agreement. Primary Responsibilities Quickly and accurately enter musicians’ wage and benefit data provided directly from employers into proprietary system Ensure all entered data is accurate and consistent by cross-referencing with source documents Scan all incoming documents and checks into proprietary system Process all necessary health benefit, pension benefit and work dues payments Balance all daily check payments and ACH payments Print daily reports of payments processed Maintain organized physical and electronic records in compliance with company standards Additional responsibilities to be determined as internal workflows and technological tools evolve Required Qualifications Typing skills with high speed and accuracy to support efficient data entry Strong arithmetic skills Ability to work onsite 5 days per week (New York City-Manhattan) Minimum 2-3 years of data entry experience in an office environment Strong attention to detail to identify errors and ensure data accuracy Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize and shift focus as needed Ability to adhere to established protocols Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be team oriented with a willingness to be flexible and helpful Proficiency in MS Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace Knowledge of operating standard office equipment Preferred Qualifications 10-key typing fluency Labor union operations knowledge and experience Experience in the performing arts and/or supporting fields Corporate or not-for-profit A/P or A/R experience Salary and Benefits Starting wage rate per the OPEIU Local 153 collective bargaining agreement is $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (depending on experience).
