Data Entry Specialist U.S. Micro-Solutions, Inc. 302 Unity Plz, Latrobe, PA 15650
Schedule:
Tuesday through Friday (8 am – 4 pm) with rotating Saturdays (8 am – 12 pm)
PURPOSE/MISSION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following; other duties may be assigned. Prepare, compile, and sort documents for data entry. Check source documents for accuracy. Obtain further information for incomplete documents. Combine and rearrange data from source documents where required. Enter data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files, and forms. Verify data and correct data where necessary. Check completed work for accuracy. Scan documents into document management systems or databases. Store completed documents in designated locations. Respond to requests for information and access relevant files. Comply with data integrity and security policies. Maintain office equipment and stationery supplies. Perform general office duties, e.g. filing, faxes, and e-mail. Answer questions from customers regarding services offered or direct them to the person who can assist them. Act as liaison between the customer and the laboratory. Answer the multi-line telephone to unlock door for entry and/or transfer to appropriate extensions or personnel. Receive incoming samples – unpack, verify, label. Record data on standardized forms and in laboratory information management system (LIMS). Resolve customer complaints, inquiries, and sample nonconformances. Take supply orders. Clean and stock workspaces, remove trash and recycling. Perform/adhere to all company standard operating procedures relevant to the job title, e.g., analytical, safety, and cGMP. Work within time constraints and adapt to workload.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, and software manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to think about something in a logical way in order to form a conclusion or judgment.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess proficient typing and data entry skills Must be familiar with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be familiar with the laboratory information system (LIMS) and be able to input and retrieve data. Must be familiar with all company services and customer base.
