Position Rationale:
This role supports the district’s commitment to ensuring all students are prepared for success in college, careers, and beyond through access to dual enrollment, strategic partnerships, data-driven insights and continuous program improvement.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Develops and coordinates pathways from high school to college and career, ensuring alignment with state industry demands. Works with local colleges, training centers, and companies to create dual enrollment, apprenticeship, and certification programs. Manages internship and job-shadowing opportunities, ensuring equitable access for all students. Collects, analyzes, and reports on data related to postsecondary readiness, such as graduation rates, college acceptance rates, and pathway completion. Provides insights into program effectiveness, helping the office refine initiatives and ensure resources are effectively supporting student outcomes. Develops data dashboards and produces reports for stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Dual Enrollment and pathway program development, partnership coordination, student tracking, and data collection analysis, report generation, program evaluation to ensure students are achieving pathway milestones and continuous improvement. Ensures that students have access to dual enrollment courses and set goals each year to increase course availability for students. Works collaboratively with Birmingham Promise to increase opportunities for students for scholarships and internships. Bridging high school education with local industry needs through apprenticeships, certifications, and internships. Expanding students’ access to dual enrollment and postsecondary education via scholarships and partnerships. Engaging families and community stakeholders to reinforce the value and accessibility of post-secondary opportunities. Lead the design, implementation, and refinement of data management practices aligned with post-secondary readiness goals to monitor the district implementation of dual enrollment programs at all high schools.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Education, Education Leadership, Data Science, Public Policy, or a related field. Proven experience in data analytics, program evaluation, or educational research, preferably in K-12 or post-secondary readiness. Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, R, Python). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights. •
