This position involves working closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate the smooth processing of claims and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience in a medical office. Duties Review and verify patient eligibility for insurance coverage and benefits. Communicate effectively with patients to gather necessary information for eligibility determination. Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain required documentation and resolve any discrepancies in patient records. Maintain accurate records of eligibility determinations and communicate findings to relevant parties. Assist in the preparation of reports related to eligibility status and trends. Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, procedures, and regulations affecting patient eligibility. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries related to their coverage and benefits. Skills Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes. Experience working in a medical office, dental office, or providing medical administrative support. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Problem-solving skills to address eligibility issues promptly and efficiently.
