$42.5K – $63.5K a year 17 hours ago Qualifications Mid-level High school diploma or GED Analysis skills Computer skills Associate’s degree 2 years Communication skills Full Job Description Responsible for timely benefits’ eligibility verification and patient insurance authorization. Communicate with clinical staff to ensure proper service delivery within authorization guidelines. Backup for scanning patient information into Electronic Medical Record and orders processing. Report to the agency Administrator.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide timely insurance benefit eligibility verification and documentation in patient record Obtain timely insurance authorization with corresponding written communication to clinical staff Complete EMR tasks’ list daily, weekly, monthly to ensure timely task completion Provide both internal and external customers with information as necessary to perform responsibilities and as appropriate within HIPAA guidelines to complete tasks Track and order office supplies on a routine basis Track and maintain ongoing Face-to-Face documentation in compliance with CMS guidelines Complete Oasis submission process in accordance with agency Backup for orders processing and general office duties provided by Business Support Specialist Comply with HIPAA regulations and protect personal health information (PHI), electronic personal health information (EPHI) and patient financial information Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree or equivalent experience 2-3 years of authorization experience in healthcare setting Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well, communicate effectively, and interact with all levels of management, employees and outside customers. The ability to work independently and meet crucial deadlines. Must have basic computer skills and ability to access internet and other programs applicable to Prospect procedures. Ability to perform multiple tasks within time frame. Strong analytical and interpretive skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
