Full Job Description Job Details:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and benefits, and providing clear communication to both patients and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for all scheduled patients Obtain prior authorizations and referrals as needed Accurately input and update insurance information in the EMR system Communicate insurance coverage details and patient responsibility estimates Collaborate with front desk, billing, and clinical teams to ensure smooth workflow Resolve any discrepancies or denials related to insurance verification Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or medical billing certification is a plus Minimum 1-2 years of experience in insurance verification or medical billing Strong understanding of commercial insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and managed care Proficiency with E-Clinical Works systems and insurance portals Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and customer service abilities
