Position Summary An RPM (Remote Patient Monitoring) Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and facilitating the use of technology to monitor patients’ blood glucose remotely. The RPM Specialist is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing remote patient monitoring systems. They work closely with healthcare providers and patients to ensure the successful use of RPM devices (CGM and BGM), interpret the data collected, and provide guidance on patient health management. This role requires a blend of technical, medical, and communication skills to optimize patient care through remote technologies.

Key Responsibilities Patient Onboarding :

Evaluate patients for suitability, educate them on the program, and manage their enrollment. Foster strong relationships with patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident in using RPM devices.

Device Management:

Distribute, set up, and train patients on how to use remote monitoring devices. Set up, configure, and manage RPM devices such as wearable health monitors, blood pressure cuffs, glucometers, and other monitoring equipment.

Training:

Provide training and support to patients on the use of RPM devices.

Initial Data Review:

Check early data to confirm devices are working and patients are using them correctly.

Patient Support:

Coordinate and schedule patient monitoring follow-ups or troubleshooting sessions. Provide ongoing assistance, answer questions, and encourage patients to stick with the program.

Record Keeping:

Document patient interactions and results into the systems. Ensure accurate and timely data entry and documentation in patient health records.

Troubleshooting:

Resolve technical issues with devices. Coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary.

Collaboration:

Work with healthcare teams for coordinated care. Generate reports and provide insights to the healthcare team. Qualifications Strong understanding of medical devices and health data interpretation. Excellent communication skills for working with both healthcare providers and patients. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with RPM devices. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and health data management. Patient-focused with strong empathy and communication skills. Working Conditions Sitting, standing, and/or walking for long periods of time while interacting with patients Office setting and travel between offices as needed, if applicable Schedule Monday to Friday / Rotating shifts: 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Occasional weekends as needed based on business needs.
