Responsibilities:
Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization for upcoming surgeries through online platforms or direct payer contact Document patient financial details, such as deductibles and copays, in the benefit verification form and/or account notes Enter authorizations into the practice management system and organize related documents Collaborate with clinical staff on surgery authorization, dates, and related issues Communicate with patients about insurance eligibility concerns Coordinate with surgery collections representatives on patient out-of-pocket expenses Address questions or problems related to patient eligibility and benefits with appropriate staff Stay updated on changes to insurance company policies Demonstrate respect and professionalism in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience with insurance verification or similar position
