Responsibilities Suncoast Behavioral Health Center opened its doors in 2014 and provides the highest quality of behavioral healthcare for patients in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is a 60-bed free-standing psychiatric hospital. We offer diverse inpatient and residential programs for children and adolescents. In a highly specialized field of psychiatry, our goal is to promote cognitive, social, physical and emotional development to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to help our patients succeed. Admissions Call Specialist:
M-F, 10PM-6AM.

The Admissions Call Specialist is responsible for coordinating aspects of the admissions process. This includes but is not limited to efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, processing of referrals for possible admission, knowledge of and communication with referral sources and customers who present for assessment. Additional responsibilities include insurance verification/precertification, patient registration process, vitals, wanding, patient observations, scheduling of evaluations, admissions processing, bed board monitoring, belongings searches, and other non-clinical duties as assigned by admissions leadership team. Qualifications Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or a related field. A minimum of one year of experience in a human service, social service, psychiatric, or mental health setting, performing administrative duties, crisis intervention, telephonic triage and inquiries, and customer service.

Knowledge:

To perform this job successfully one must have the ability to interface with customers in a calm professional manner. Must possess the knowledge of crisis and behavior management, have excellent organizational skills with ability for multitasking, have capability to manage telephonic switch board operation, computer systems, and faxing/copying. Data entry/computer experience is preferred.
