m. The Registration & Eligibility Specialist is responsible for ensuring the client’s registration packet and consents are completed prior to services. The registration & eligibility specialist is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, to ensure necessary procedures are covered by an individual’s insurance provider.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilizes current system to conduct insurance verification and authorization validation on scheduled patients to ensure eligibility and that benefits are for accurate claim submission and payment

  • (initial eligibility and authorization) Utilizes online eligibility verification system, and/or may have to contact the Payer directly via telephone, and/or access payer website Communicates with patient regarding patient’s financial responsibility, to ensure the Front Office can collect moneys such as copayments, deductibles, and co-insurance for the procedures.

Provide clients with the registration packets via email, mail, or in person and ensure they received it and complete it in a timely manner. Provide guidance to clients in completing registration packets and signing consents as needed. Reviews and confirms client registration and insurance information for all scheduled outpatient intakes for accuracy and completion in Credible. Ensures registration packet and consents are completed prior to intake assessment and follow up as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned by Billing & RCM Manager.
