Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and clinical staff to resolve coverage issues. Maintain accurate records of insurance verifications, denials, and approvals in compliance with departmental protocols. Stay up-to-date with insurance policies, regulations, and procedures, particularly those specific to Florida and Miami. Provide support to patients and families regarding coverage questions and financial options. Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to prevent delays in claims submission or payment processing.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance eligibility verification, preferably in clinic care or related healthcare fields. In-depth knowledge of insurance policies and regulations in the state of Florida, particularly within the Miami area. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and insurance verification tools. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Bilingual in English and Spanish to serve Miami’s diverse patient population. Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans in Florida. Previous experience in wound care or similar healthcare departments.
