Role Summary:

In all of our centers, the first point of contact for our patients is the Front Desk Patient Services Specialist. As first impressions are lasting, it is imperative that our personnel portray patience, understanding, and professionalism.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors; determines their needs and directs them accordingly Maintenance of patient’s chart including collecting and entering correct insurance information in the account in the Practice Management System and run a manual eligibility check. Serve as liaison with our internal Billing Department when insurance is inactive, or information needs verification to obtain eligibility. Check in or check out patients, obtains all necessary documents, copies insurance cards, compares to insurance on account and makes revisions or updates Practice Management System with new information as necessary. Responsible for collection of payments, which includes co-payments, deductibles, and co-insurance, as indicated on Balance Due Spreadsheet provided by Intergy practice management system.

Verification of Insurance Benefits:

Benefits are confirmed through electronic or phone contact with the insurance provider for every patient encounter Eligibility and financial responsibility information must be communicated clearly to patients Benefit information is documented in the patient record Assist with

Patient Collections:

Assist with patient questions regarding billing and insurance payments

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to maintain a cheerful, positive and respectful attitude Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Good telephone, computer, and typing skills High School graduate or equivalent 1+ year experience as medical receptionist preferred, but not required

Minimum Physical Capabilities:

In order to be able to perform normal duties as a Front Desk, the worker must be able to perform all of the following physical capabilities: Lifting up to 11 lbs occasionally floor to waist height,
