Job Description
PG – I
Provide direct supervision and plans work of a team/unit of Eligibility Specialists determining program eligibility. Assists in the development of uniform policy interpretations, securing services and timely benefits, and evaluating quality. Maintains a system of management to monitor quality, quantity, and timeliness of benefits.
Role and Responsibilities:
Provides direct supervision and support to assigned team/unit of Eligibility Specialists.
Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of services provided to customers in addition to assigned programmatic responsibilities to ensure the identified oue measures are achieved. Ensures agencypliance with policies, appropriate documentation, and reporting requirements.
Develops and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within units(s) and with other agencies and providers.
Assess assigned staff performance and provide ongoing development and training.
Interviews, hires, directs, trains. and evaluates employees job performance; rmends employee disciplinary and discharge actions as appropriate.
Leads and administers aprehensive system of customer support and public assistance.
Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED AND Four (4) years of job-related customer contact/interaction experience, AND One (1) year in a lead worker, team lead, or supervisory role.
OR One (1) year of experience at the lower level Eligibility Spec 3 (SST072) or position equivalent.
Agency Specific Qualifications:
Two (2) years of experience at lower level Eligibility Specialist 2/3 with GA DFCS. Trained AND worked in two (2) OR three (3) OFI programs.
Must be Gateway eligibility system trained. Additional Information
