What will your job look like?

The Mobility Assessment Evaluator (MAE) is responsible for reviewing ADA paratransit application materials, supplemental intake and professional verification forms, conducting in-person interviews for applicants, and performing functional assessments with applicants to determine eligibility for ADA paratransit service. The Mobility Assessment Evaluator (MAE) is also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, and providing final eligibility determinations to the Client.

This position is dependent on the award of contract for MARTA in Atlanta, GA.

What youll do:

Determines final eligibility based upon the application, interview, functional assessment and any supplemental informationConduct in-person interviews to assess mobility capabilities and review any supplemental information providedDetermine what functional assessments the applicant will be required to undergoProvide written eligibility determination documentation to Client within ADA required and contracted time frameReads and interprets ADA paratransit applications, intake forms, and professional verification formsReview interview results and application paperwork and follow up on assessments and professional verifications, as neededMaintain ongoing communication with the Quality Assurance team and the management team in regards to, violation of contractual deadlines and/or possible liquidated damagesAssist Applicants with completing incomplete documents, scan ADA applications, interview guides and other documents into the Applicants case, as neededProvide further written documentation to Client upon requestAssist the leadership team in identifying process improvement opportunitiesConduct functional physical and/or cognitive assessment with applicants that may include:

Physical Functional Assessment using an outdoor coursePhysical Functional Assessment using an indoor courseFACTSMMSEApply information obtained to determine applicants capability to independently ride fixed route transportationProvide required forms to administrative personnel for data-entry and eligibility letter generationParticipate in staff meetings with leadership and/or ClientParticipate in community outreach and education as neededParticipate in initial and on-going training as required by MTM and ClientComplete all necessary reports, paperwork and maintain on-going applicant tracking logs and reports for MTM and Client within the contractual deadlineProcess mail-in applications within the contractual deadline as assignedAssist with conducting phone calls to applicants and providersConduct phone interviews, as neededInput all information into Client software (Trapeze) and other software as appropriateBuild rapport and communicate effectively with MTM and Client personnel to include administrators, management, support staff and applicant while providing high quality customer serviceParticipate in appeals process, upon requestMaintain a positive attitude when interacting with individuals, support Staff and caregiversWork with management and the Client to follow through on service issues, troubleshooting problems, concerns, complaints and trainingMust conform to MTMs HIPAA standardsWhat youll need:

Experience, Education and Certifications:

Bachelors degree in Social Services, Rehabilitation, Ancillary Health Care Profession, or a rel ted fieldWilling to accept relevant experience and specialized certifications in lieu of a Bachelors degree depending upon contract specifications (Certifications can include:

COTA, OT, PT

)3 years of professional experience working with individuals with disabilitiesExperience and knowledge with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations and sensitivity to issues relating to people with disabilities and older adultsRelated experience with regard to the functional assessment of individuals with disabilities along with experience working with individuals with disabilities

Skills:
