Description:
Major Duties and Responsibilities Return incoming bill calls and collect patient payments over the phone Appeal denials and submit medical records upon request to various insurance companies Follow-up on aged Accounts Receivable insurance list Handle patient bill issues/concerns/questions while patients are in the office Mails primary and secondary claims daily
Requirements:
Experience and Education Highschool Diploma or Equivalent 1-3 years of Insurance Reimbursement Experience Skills and Abilities Ability to effectively multi-task & prioritize. Knowledge of medical terminology. Exceptional customer service skills and patient-interaction skills. Knowledge of cancer care agents, pharmacology of cytotoxic and immunologic agents a plus. Accuracy – Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record. Maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality. Comply with all HIPAA regulations. Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
