Job Description

Admissions Processing and Recruitment Specialist at University of Maine System in Presque Isle, Maine, United States Job Description The University of Maine at Presque Isle seeks a detail-oriented Admissions Processing & Recruitment Specialist to be a part of the Admissions Team. This full time, on-campus position will assist with the management of traditional program applications and supporting materials as well as with the recruitment of new students. With over 1,000 applications processed annually across rolling admissions cycles, this role is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate handling of application materials, thereby supporting the team’s ability to meet enrollment goals. Additionally, this position contributes to recruitment efforts, enhancing UMPI’s visibility within the landscape of higher education. The Admissions Processing & Recruitment Specialist plays a vital role in the operational efficiency of the Admissions Office by managing and processing application materials in a fast-paced, rolling admissions environment. Responsibilities include scanning, uploading, and organizing documents using Salesforce, MaineStreet, and ImageNow; creating and updating applicant checklists; and ensuring data accuracy across systems. This role also assists in securing missing documents and participates in recruitment events, such as high school and community visits and representing the University at fairs throughout Maine and the New England region. The salary for this position is $43,951. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. + Bachelor’s degree. Candidates with an associate’s degree combined with related experience will be considered (e.g. administration, customer service, admissions, K-12 education, or data management). + Ability to travel (in-state and out-of-state) for three to seven days at a time for recruitment purposes.
