Processing Support Specialist
Department:
Enrollment Management The Processing Support Specialist for Enrollment Management is to provide support for the department and students with meeting, maintaining, and processing of student’s enrollment and aid eligibility requirements. The Processing Support Specialist will offer fast, friendly, and accurate assistance and support for student inquiries regarding Financial Aid, Admissions, Student Records and Enrollment Services. The position requires someone to be able to be a self-starter to effectively communicate by phone, email, and in person while also working through a problem-solving process. The position will aid in receiving documents, running reports, advanced financial aid and admissions assistance and provide support for the Enrollment Processing team.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree preferred
Willingness and ability to learn Admissions and Financial Aid procedures that best meets the student’s needs and requirements
General office equipment, such as general computer functions and software such as, but not limited to, Word and Excel
Ability to understand, explain, and apply federal, state, and institutional regulations
Gather information through questioning, examining, and reviewing records
Ability to give written and oral instructions in a precise, understandable manner
Deal tactfully with others in stressful situations
Punctuality
Willingness to learn
Organizational skills
Ability to multitask
Be team oriented
Responsibilities:
Always maintains a positive image on behalf of the college
Welcomes guest, students, and parents by greeting them, in person, on the phone, or via email; answers or directs inquires
Assist students with Financial Aid and Admissions needs that can be resolved by email or via phone or can direct the student the appropriate contact
Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
Responsible for running and maintaining reports to ensure the accuracy of the meeting the needed requirements
Responsible for retrieving, sorting, and reviewing department documents including mail, faxes, emails and other methods of receiving documents
Scanning and organizing student’s records for easy and efficient processing of student’s records and eligibility requirements
Participating in activities to ensure students can accurately and efficiently to meet requirements in a timely and accurate manner
Deal effectively with a wide variety of college personnel, students, and/or outside individuals/organizations.
