Job Description
Part-Time Admissions Enrollment and Recruitment Specialist Robeson Community College (NC) Fayetteville, NC JOB The Admissions Enrollment and Recruitment Specialist is responsible for assisting the Admissions Office in responding to inquiries about admission, readmission, campus visits and tours, and recruitment. This position is responsible for identifying best practices for reaching potential students and organizing recruiting events with area public schools and community groups.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assisting in the organization of recruiting events at area high schools and in connection with community organizations to reach the prospective student population, including adult learnersParticipating in college recruitment activities including career days, community programs, presentations, workshops, individual visits to area schools, and participation in any school related activities such as i.e. Parents Nights, Athletic events, Academic Booster Clubs etc.
Serves as an initial contact for prospective students by discussing various course offerings, admissions policies, and procedures; answers specific inquiries, maintains contact with prospective students, and ensures completion of application materials of students in admissions process.
Assisting with the registration and enrollment process for prospective students, which will include file review, transcript retrieval/upload, residency review, approvals, approval letter mailings, and communication to recent approvals, and incomplete applicants.
Working in collaboration with high school counselors and high school career coaches to advise and enroll students.
Engaging students, counselors, faculty, parents, and all stakeholders in information sessions related to college success and advising sessions on related topics.
Maintaining quality partnerships with secondary school personnel.
Sorting and routing incoming/outgoing mail and correspondence.
Receiving, screening, and placing telephone calls using proper etiquetteInterpreting the mission, educational philosophy and vision statements of Robeson Community College to the general public.
Maintaining the integrity of the College and its related foundations.
Representing the College professionally and handling all student inquiries confidentially.
Performing other duties as assigned by the President of Robeson Community College.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Must be able to demonstrate competencies in advising areas related to the functions of the position. Must be willing to work a nonstandard schedule to participate in recruitment events.
