Full Job Description Certified Peer Specialist Responsibilities:

• Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals with mental health challenges
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage self-advocacy and goal-setting
• Collaborate with treatment teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Facilitate support groups and educational workshops for individuals and their families
• Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals in the mental health system
• Assist individuals in navigating community resources and accessing appropriate services
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions

Skills:

• Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with diverse populations
• Knowledge of mental health recovery principles and practices
• Familiarity with community resources and support services
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey towards mental health recovery.
