EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The job duties of this position involve three major areas: taking and processing applications; reviewing cases to determine continuing eligibility; and determining the effect of reported changes on cases. In order to do these functions, the IMC II must interview applicants/recipients and others to get accurate and complete information about their situation. At Intake, this involves being able to explain all available programs and options in sufficient detail to enable applicant to choose appropriate aid/program category. The IMC II must then apply program policy to the situation to determine/redetermine eligibility for assistance. Documentation and forms completion must be in sufficient detail to substantiate the decision regarding eligibility. Forms are keyed by the worker (Direct Worker Entry). Additionally, the IMC JI must process applications, reviews, quarterly reports, and changes in a timely and accurate fashion. Timely completion of all assignments is very important.
