Position Summary:

The Intake Specialist plays a critical role in the client onboarding process. This position is responsible for managing new client inquiries, verifying insurance benefits, coordinating intake paperwork, and supporting families through the first steps of their ABA journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients and families Collect and review intake forms and documentation Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations Coordinate communication between families, clinical staff, and administrative teams Guide families through the onboarding process with empathy and professionalism Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company’s systems Assist with scheduling initial assessments and appointments Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth and timely intake process

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizations strongly preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Bilingual (Spanish-English)

Required Qualifications:

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Proficiency with basic office software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
