Authorization Specialist Authorization Specialist
Part Time
Hanover, PA 17331 Pay starts at $16.32 and increases with experience Monday-Friday only- No nights- No Weekends!

Employee Assistance Program Job Duties:
The ability to obtain and verify accurate insurance information for customers
Ability to ensure payment for services prior to the customer being seen
Verify that the assigned therapist/program is credentialed with the individual’s insurance
Ability to be proactive and to prioritize work tasks
Ability to function effectively as a member of a team that may include multiple programs, locations, departments as well as external organizations and insurance companies.
Understand how trauma affects an individual and know effective ways to respond to individuals who have experienced it
Ability to effectively communicate in a way the client can understand
Maintain all IBHS and AKC billing along with authorizations for these programs
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Training and/or experience with insurance companies preferred.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
Prior experience with medical billing and coding is preferred.
