Medicaid Pending Specialist (Full Remote) Prema Financial Solutions, LLC Chattanooga, TN • Remote Prema Financial Solutions has a great opportunity for a Medicaid Pending Specialist! Prema Financial Solutions was created with the intention of providing excellence in timely financial, reimbursement and revenue cycle support to senior living operators. The role of the Medicaid Pending Specialist is an integral part of the revenue cycle support provided to our clients. Medicaid Pending Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the Medicaid pending process for the company’s healthcare facilities. They will work closely with facility staff, patients, families, and government agencies to ensure timely and accurate Medicaid eligibility determination and approval for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough reviews of patient medical records and financial documentation to determine Medicaid eligibility. Collaborate with facility staff to ensure all necessary documentation is obtained and submitted in a timely manner. Support BOM with communication with patients and families to educate them on the Medicaid application process and provide updates on pending applications. Coordinate with government agencies and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the Medicaid application process. Monitor and track Medicaid applications to ensure they are processed and approved in a timely manner. Provide ongoing education and training to facility staff on Medicaid eligibility and application procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all Medicaid pending activities.

Qualifications:

Associates degree or experience in healthcare administration, business, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medicaid eligibility determination and application processing. Knowledge of Medicaid regulations and eligibility criteria. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with facility staff, patients, families, and government agencies. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
