This position functions as the right hand to the Executive Director and is ideal for someone with strong business office experience who wants to take the next step in their senior living career. Role:
The Assistant Executive Director plays a key leadership role in ensuring the community operates efficiently and compassionately. While the role primarily focuses on business office functions —such as billing, payroll, HR coordination, and accounts management—it also involves helping manage day-to-day community operations, staff support, and resident relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts receivable, billing, and collections processes Coordinate payroll and employee timekeeping systems Assist with human resource tasks, including onboarding and compliance Maintain resident files, financial records, and vendor accounts Act as liaison for resident move-ins and financial agreements Support the Executive Director with regulatory compliance and reporting Step in for the Executive Director when needed to ensure seamless operations Assist in planning and executing community-wide initiatives and meetings Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all administrative processes
Qualifications:
Prior experience in assisted living, healthcare, or business office management required Working knowledge of billing procedures, HR practices, and regulatory compliance Proficiency in Microsoft Office and senior living software platforms Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to lead by example and provide excellent customer service Why Join Us?
