This position manages sensitive issues and confidential files, prepares major documents and correspondence, coordinates and schedules for special events and meetings and serves as the administrative liaison to the various committees. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively and courteously with individuals of varied cultures and levels both inside and outside the University. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters. Ability to establish work assignment priorities and perform duties independently, without immediate or constant supervision. Working knowledge of various word processing, spreadsheet, and various standardized software and university applications. Ability to make campus deliveries and to lift light packages. Knowledge of university policies and procedures. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Project management and time management skills. Problem solving skills. Research and analytical skills. Required Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent Five (5) years of experience providing advanced, professional-level administrative support. Preferred Qualifications College Degree Experience working in a University setting or high volume office environment Previous experience supervising basic administrative personnel or students
