Qualifications:
Required:
Typically has the education associated with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience providing executive-level administrative support, preferably in a higher education or non-profit setting. Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Google Calendar, etc.), and AI tools (Google Gemini, ChatGPT, etc.). Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to help direct a team of student workers.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to anticipate the needs of the President and the leadership team, proactively addressing potential issues and providing necessary support.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders. Flexibility and adaptability, including a willingness to undertake both mundane and high-profile tasks with enthusiasm and energy. A demonstrated ability to attend carefully to both grammatical and factual details. Ability to take initiative, work independently, and self-sufficiently gather facts and information for a variety of offices and sources. Expected to be available evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred:
Progressive experience in supporting executive-level positions. Experience at, or extensive familiarity with, institutions of higher education strongly preferred.
