Job Summary This is a stand-alone position providing executive-level administrative support to the South Carolina State President and contributing to the overall efforts of the South Carolina State President’s Office (SCPO). Exercises confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. Deep experience using Microsoft Office products

  • Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS, SharePoint and Excel to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.

Must be comfortable preparing and editing executive presentations for SMC/Board level. Must be able to proactively anticipate and manage work needs for executives and adapt to evolving priorities. May prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries. Maintains files, records and calendars; typically arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements, and tracks expenses. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision; serves in a non-exempt capacity. Provides support to SVPs, Presidents, and VPs with designation (Chief titling), and VPs who report to the EVPs who are the direct reports to the CEO. Responsibilities Provide executive-level administrative support to the South Carolina State President, including extensive calendar management, scheduling of internal and external meetings, travel arrangements, expense reporting, task prioritization and deadline management (50%) Prepare executive briefs as needed to SMC member/board level (10%) Support planning and coordination of special events and major meetings (10%) Manage the preparation and distribution of the SCPO Weekly Report (10%) Manage presentation development for the monthly SC Business Plan Review (10%) Oversee management of the SCPO Microsoft TEAMS site and maintain documents (10%) Basic/Required Qualifications Bachelors degree AND six (6) years minimum required related experience In lieu of degree and years experience above, High School/GED AND 10 years minimum required related experience Desired Qualifications Experience writing executive briefs Experience working with Microsoft office products, including Outlook, TEAMS, Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint Ability to positively and effectively interact and communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a professional and culturally diverse workforce as well as with those external to Duke Energy, such as community-based organizational groups, industry-related organizations, government agencies, etc. Self-motivated; takes initiative to maintain productivity with minimal oversight Demonstrated ability to build working relationships with all levels of organization
