Compensation:

$20-25/hour About the Role The Work Meaningful Foundation is a values-driven nonprofit committed to creating equitable access to education for under-resourced communities. We’re currently seeking a proactive, organized, and mission-aligned Executive Assistant & Impact Coordinator to support the founder and oversee key program logistics that make our work possible.

This is a hybrid role:

you’ll serve as a right-hand to our CEO, Justin Jones-Fosu , while also helping coordinate the day-to-day operations and events that drive the mission forward. From managing travel and communication to supporting our AfroCareCLT Gala, Wine & Wonder Fundraiser, and Tech Lab campaign—you’ll help shape our growing impact. Key Responsibilities Executive Assistant (Work. Meaningful.) Manage calendar scheduling, virtual meeting logistics, and appointments across time zones Coordinate all domestic and international travel logistics, including itineraries, flights, and accommodations Assist with email and inbox organization, file management, and internal communications Prepare meeting agendas and notes, follow up on assigned action items, and help keep projects moving forward Format reports, presentations, and documents for both internal and external audiences Impact Coordination (Work Meaningful Foundation) Coordinate logistics for Foundation events including: AfroCareCLT Cultural Gala Wine & Wonder Fundraiser Board Retreat Future initiatives and campaigns Schedule and support Foundation Board meetings, track minutes and action steps Support fundraising activities, donor communications, and project reporting Help manage timelines for ongoing initiatives such as the $30,000 Technology Lab campaign and the upcoming two-story elementary school , which will provide access for 300 students currently unable to attend school Serve as a point of contact for volunteers, vendors, and community partners Provide administrative and operational support across the Foundation’s programs What Makes You a Great Fit You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy managing multiple moving parts You have a heart for purpose-driven work and thrive in small, entrepreneurial environments You communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person You’re flexible and reliable, with a strong sense of personal ownership and discretion You bring both initiative and follow-through to your work You’re comfortable working independently, while also collaborating closely with leadership and teams Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of administrative or project coordination experience (nonprofit, education, or entrepreneurial environments are a plus) Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Trello) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with donor communication, basic reporting, or light social media coordination is a bonus Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required Why You’ll Love This Role You’ll directly support meaningful, purpose-driven work that makes a tangible impact You’ll help shape programs and events that build educational equity You’ll enjoy a flexible schedule and mostly remote work, with periodic in-person collaboration in Concord, NC You’ll work with a passionate, close-knit team that values integrity, long-term thinking, and joyful impact You’ll have the opportunity to grow in hours, responsibility, and leadership as the Foundation expands Our Core Values Treat Them Like Family
