Primary Purpose of Position:
The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support our executive leadership team. The Executive Assistant provides critical administrative support to the Secretary’s Office and serves as administrative support to the Chief Deputy, Deputy Secretaries and other senior staff, as needed. This position is the primary point of contact for incoming phone calls and visitors, both internal and external to the organization. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide receptionist support for the Secretary’s Office through answering and routing calls, receiving and distributing the daily mail. Maintain and manage the calendars for the Chief Deputy and Deputies, scheduling, changing and cancelling appointments as necessary. Make travel arrangements, hotel reservations, and prepare travel authorizations and reimbursement requests for Chief Deputy and Deputies. Manage the calendars and handle reservations of the first floor Auditorium and third floor conference room, prioritizing requests with assistance from the Executive Assistant. Assign and manage DNCR parking assignments in downtown Raleigh area. Motor Fleet/Vehicle Coordinator Order office supplies following state procurement guidelines.
Position/Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm.
