Job Description

The Financial Management Division (FMD) of North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) includes multiple units executing various accounting, reporting, and budgeting processes. FMD’s primary purpose is to provide both tactical execution of financial processes as well as strategic financial guidance to NCDOT. The Division is led by the Department’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Financial Management Division Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and operational support to the NCDOT CFO and the Controller, managing complex schedules and communications, and supporting key initiatives. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution; or Associate’s degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
