Full Time-Executive Assistant to Executive Director We Oppose Violence Everywhere Now Inc New York, NY 10011 • Hybrid work We Oppose Violence Everywhere Now, Inc – Administrative Assistant to Executive Director. Seeking full-time Assistant to the Executive Director of We Oppose Violence Everywhere Now, INC (WOVEN), a nonprofit organization based out of New York City that aspires to end violence in our lifetime. Built on the belief that rejecting violence is not insurmountable, WOVEN is designed to serve as a platform for the world to collaborate and take action with innovative, new solutions for solving today’s issues of violence, as well as act as a vehicle for peaceful advocacy. Nurturing Inclusive Community Environment N.I.C.E. is a project of WOVEN. The N.I.C.E.’s mission is to reimagine public education by assuring that every person, no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation,religion, or socioeconomic status, reaches their full potential and cultivates The Assistant to Executive Director will be responsible for but not limited to Answer phones, responding to emails and other inquiries Draft correspondence and other written materials Manage calendar, scheduling/coordinating meetings, prepare and distribute meeting materials as needed for Executive Director and NICE Team. Serve as the first point of contact for the Executive Director Manage and maintain QuickBooks accounting system, including data entry, expense tracking, and reconciliation; generate and deliver accurate monthly financial reports to leadership. Build relationships with internal and external constituents Be prepared to address relevant issues when appropriate and apprise the Executive Director of important issues that require attention. Process invoices and expenses and track the Executive Director’s budget and forecasts. A commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment is required.

Onboarding new staff Agendas for staff and board meetings Setting up Zoom meetings Tracker Monitoring Reimbursement Filing

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree or commensurate years of work experience 2 years of professional experience Experience or regular use of common technological tools and platforms, including Quickbooks, Google Suite and Microsoft Office Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail Great communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and responsiveness Experience managing a large volume of tasks with competing priorities Exceptional ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information and maintaining privacy. Ability to learn new processes, tasks, and technology quickly Strong, demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, & inclusion Excellent knowledge of proposal submission and fundraising process Ability to study and understand programs and funding requirements of the organization Strong research skills and knowledge of information sources Multitasking, organizational, and time management skills

From $55,000.00 per year
