About the Role A prestigious New York-based law firm is hiring an Executive Legal Assistant to support its high-performing Transportation Practice . This is a temporary role (expected duration: 3 months ) with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs. You’ll work directly with a highly respected Administrative Director and a senior Partner, both of whom travel extensively for conferences and client meetings. If you’re detail-oriented, comfortable with fast-paced scheduling, and looking to grow in a long-term legal support career—this is a rare opportunity to get in with one of NYC’s most elite legal teams. What You’ll Do Coordinate complex, international travel (airfare, cars, hotels, visas, time zones) Manage heavy scheduling across global time zones Prepare Zoom meetings, take notes, and organize meeting materials Draft and edit proposals, memos, emails, and client documents using firm templates Support the team with internal newsletters and external communications Liaise with public agencies like MTA, Port Authority, and Department of Transportation Work closely with the firm’s accounting and operations teams Assist with special projects and have the opportunity to travel to conferences Who You Are 3+ years of executive support experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Experienced with international travel planning and calendar management Familiar with NYC and NY State government agencies (MTA, Port Authority, DOT, etc.) Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Comfortable taking feedback and working in a high-expectation, tight-knit team Work Schedule & Flexibility Hybrid role: One day per week in the office (Midtown Manhattan, near Central Park) Core hours are 9:00 AM-7:00 PM, but must be available for evening/weekend work as needed Significant overtime expected but time will be paid accordingly Initial training will primarily be held on evenings and weekends (paid) Perks & Benefits Exposure to high-level legal work and public agency relationships Potential to grow into a full-time, permanent position Collaborative, high-performing team environment Potential to travel internationally in the future This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility position for someone looking to take the next step in their legal support career.
