Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision of the Director and Chief Deputy, responsible for the management and coordination of the Executive Division to include planning and coordination of activities, specialized projects, budget preparation, and calendar appointments. Acts on behalf of the Director and Chief Deputy with department staff, public officials, governmental agencies and the general public. Responsible for the supervision of staff and to monitor all incoming telephone calls to the Department’s main switchboard.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor’s degree and experience in public administration, business administration, planning or public relations. Relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degrees on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Five years of administrative support experience. Able to handle duties for upper management. The ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules is essential. Organizational skills and assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is vital.
