Job Purpose The overall purpose of this job is to serve as the executive assistant to the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Human Ecology (CAHE). Manage Dean’s Office operations, facilitate college-wide administrative processes, and ensure timely and effective communication, project coordination, and scheduling. Essential Functions Duties include supporting the activities of the dean and assistant dean, coordinating and facilitating faculty, staff, college-wide committee board, and clerical meetings and retreats, and assisting with planning and implementation of conferences and events. Other responsibilities include reviewing and distributing correspondence; organizing data and information; updating digital signage, event calendars, and websites; coordinating and administering Senior Exit Exams and certification testing; and performing other administrative tasks. Manage Dean’s Office activities and administrative processes; assist students, faculty, staff, and external constituents. Prepare and distribute correspondence and timely information via digital signage, email, minutes, master calendar, and the CAHE website. Supervise students and other part-time workers, coordinate and lead college-wide administrative staff activities, triage problems, answer questions, and provide information and solutions for faculty, staff, and students. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with at least three years of related professional experience, or an associate’s degree from an accredited institution with at least five years of related experience, or a high school diploma with at least seven years of related experience. Certification(s), training, or equivalent experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software systems; proficiency using MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams. Experience preparing written documents and correspondence; experience using technology and working in an interactive team-oriented environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Five years of direct experience in an administrative assistant, coordinator, or managerial role in a service-oriented setting. Work Hours M-F 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Compensation and Benefits Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Pay grade 10.
