Successful completion of CAC-endorsed forensic interviewing training a plus, but is a requirement once employed. Proficiency in computer programs (Word, Excel and web based databases, etc.) a must. Ability to interface with key community stakeholders a must. The ability to handle highly sensitive issues and confidentiality a must. Organizational Relationships and General Description Reports to Assistant Program Coordinator (APC). Provides direct forensic interview service to child victim. Maintains on-call emergency contact information and system for after hour appointments Interfaces with Human Service delivery providers within judicial circuit. Interacts with all Twin Cedars Youth Services (TCYS) staff. Key Responsibilities ⦁ Conducts Forensic Interviews ⦁ Conducts forensic interviews on children of all ages and developmentally delayed adults ⦁ Assists stakeholders in the scheduling and coordination of forensic interviews ⦁ Stays current on interviewing techniques ⦁ Interactive participant in scheduled peer reviews (via in person and tele-mental health equipment) ⦁ Staffs cases with stakeholders, CTH staff and receptive to feedback ⦁ Prepares for expert testimony with the District Attorney’s office ⦁ Interfaces with DFCS and law enforcement ⦁ Coordinates victim outreach services for child victims served by CTH ⦁ Develops and maintains local resource guide and informational packets to provide non-offending caregivers ⦁ Greet consumers and ensures that victim’s rights are explained ⦁ Conducts intake assessment with Non-Offending caregiver ⦁ Ensures that all documentation is maintained and secured in a confidential manner ⦁ Responsible for coordination of victim intake procedures ⦁ Serves as point of contact for stakeholders and families for information and referral process ⦁ Assisting victims served by law enforcement and prosecution in filling out necessary paperwork to ensure personal advocacy throughout the judicial process ⦁ Conducts follow up case status check-ins with victims and other service providers either in-person or via telephone to ensure linkage with the Victim Assistance Program and the mental health service provider ⦁ Distributes psycho-educational materials/resources to caregivers ⦁ Conducts needs assessment with caregivers upon intake ⦁ Responsible for medical accompaniment of victims throughout the sexual assault exam process. ⦁ Responsible for all scheduling of sexual assault exams and notification of all relevant parties. ⦁ Accompanies child throughout intake and the sexual assault exam process. ⦁ Serves as primary records custodian for child victims served through the CAC. ⦁ Makes copies of documentation and recordings for evidentiary purposes. ⦁ Responsible for executing Evidence Release Forms in accordance with established chain of custody procedures. ⦁ Maintains and keeps all victim files current. ⦁ Provides opportunities for client feedback by administering client satisfaction surveys ⦁ Assists client through final case disposition. ⦁ Maintains contact with Victim’ Witness office for upcoming court proceedings ⦁ Notifies staff of criminal justice support needs ⦁ Provides court accompaniment for child victim and their family ⦁ Serves as Forensic Interviewer representative on Multi-Disciplinary Team Case Review ⦁ Interactive member on Team Case Review team ⦁ Attends monthly meetings and provides required documentation ⦁ Reports case status and progress information to the team
