$35.36 – $35.36 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Clinical Research EMT role will perform a variety of research duties in support of funded studies related to maternal-child health. The responsibilities for the position include monitoring vital signs of pregnant women and their infants during research study visits, assist with running physiological sessions and monitoring of study participants in MRI. They would assess research patients, including gathering a thorough medical history, and determine and direct/communicate any subsequent clinical follow up as applicable. This position would also need to be able to step in to provide first-aid treatment or life support care (BLS/CPR) to research participants if needed. They may be involved in additional research activities such as screening potential participants to determine eligibility, maintaining communication with participant families, coordinating study visits, administering clinical and physiologic assessments, tracking and entering data into databases, and assisting with MRI scans of women and infants. The ideal candidate will possess great bedside manner, with strong organizational skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a research team, and an interest in learning new skills and technologies. Assist with running physiological and MRI study visits. Communicates with research participants, their families, and their clinical team. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience. Preferred Qualifications A two-year commitment to the position is preferred Other Requirements Must successfully complete all online system trainings requirements. EMT certification, including BLS/CPR and First Aid. Understanding of medical terminology. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
