Birmingham, AL, 35203 We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm or legal department and possess excellent communication and administrative skills.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs Manage attorney calendars and schedule appointments Answer phone calls and respond to emails Organize and maintain client files Assist with billing and invoicing Perform legal research and draft correspondence Coordinate meetings and depositions Other administrative duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and accuracy
