Job Description General Functions Performs specialized legal secretarial and clerical work at the direction of one or more attorneys. General supervision is received from attorneys or the legal administrative supervisor. Work is reviewed upon completion for adherence to established policies, procedures and results achieved. Representative Duties/Assignments At the direction of one or more attorneys prepares legal memoranda, ordinances, legislation, resolutions, administrative regulations, contracts and other transactional documents. Maintains case dockets, trial calendars, completes basic legal forms, schedules hearings and trials, and prepares case files. Researches and compiles data for completion of basic legal forms and documents. Assist attorney(s) with basic editing, formatting, and/or compiling documents or agreements. Receives, screens, and routes incoming mail, telephone calls and requests for meetings. Composes simple replies to non-legal inquiries. Maintain attorney(s) calendar for meeting requests, scheduling travel, or setting virtual meetings. Has working knowledge and proficient skills with most basic office computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; Adobe Acrobat and Reader; virtual meeting technology like Teams, Webex, and Zoom). Performs related work as required. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent and six years of legal administrative work; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training or experience. Ability to type at a rate of 50 correct words per minute. Preferences Completion of course work in typing, secretarial, administrative, or clerical practices. Strong computer skills, transactional experience, and proficient in word processing software. Experience with Cloud-based document management.

Salary Information Pay Grade:

014 – From $22.51 to $29.26

FLSA Status:
