We have one of the largest business immigration practices in the United States; our immigration practice group consists of experienced and dedicated immigration lawyers and paralegals who work with domestic and international corporations and businesses in developing appropriate strategies to facilitate the international transfer of skilled employees.
Our Raleigh office has an opportunity for a Clerk to join their fast-paced business immigration practice! Duties may include, but not be limited to performing a variety of data entry, scanning, copy, and filing duties to track and document receipt/approval notices from USCIS in the Firm’s centralized document management systems and business records; ensuring that immigration documents are easily accessible to clients, legal, and non-legal staff members; and opening cases within our system to allow paralegals and other immigration staff to begin work on petitions.

Essential Functions
Packaging
Scan tracking labels and review sheets to case managers for each case that’s going out for regular and CAP cases.
Scan each tracking label and review sheet into VisatraxCostSplitting.
Make labels for packaging to send to the 10 main USCIS locations.
Label any miscellaneous documents.
Ensure all CAP cases are appropriately labeled.
Combine approvals and receipts into PDF Searchable document and save in mail files.
Check SharePoint for any client petitions.
Print petitions and attach the correct check before sending to attorney review before packaging.
Prepare photos to be added to petitions.
Ensure all forms have the proper signatures.
Package up petitions accordingly and ensure timely delivery to USCIS.
Log all CAP review sheets into excel.
Preparation of approval packages to Foreign Nationals as needed.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Assembly:
Locate documents needed for immigration petitions.
Ensure all documentation for case specific petitions are included for review team.
Provide remote paralegals with support shipping forms to clients.
Scan immigration petitions to respective paralegals.
Assist remote paralegals with obtaining attorney signatures for unsigned petitions.
Assist remote paralegals with creating passport photos for case specific petitions.
Maintain open communication with paralegals for missing documents needed for petitions when necessary.
Perform cleanup of SharePoint immigration cases filed.
Offer problem-solving solutions for changes to package assembly process.
Assist in removal of USCIS checks from printer and scan to respective member of business team.
Ensure checks are filed with correct immigration case and void any unnecessary checks.
Ensure printers remained stocked to maintain flow of package assembly process. Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
1+ years of office experience in a high-volume environment.
High school diploma required; some college preferred.
Ability to type 45+ WPM.
Superior understanding of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Excellent organizational skills; ability to organize, manage, prioritize, and handle numerous projects/tasks.
Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
Ability to work well under pressure, with a professional demeanor.
Strong client service skills are crucial in this team oriented environment.
Enjoy working in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
