Description Our client, a multiservice midsized firm in NYC is seeking to add a Legal Secretary (floater and CLE responsibilities) to their firm. works closely with attorneys to understand their specific needs.

Support various attorneys, most of whom are self-sufficient.  Support Secretarial Team with special requests, as needed.  Time Entries / Billing.  Routine word processing editing and formatting.  Expense reporting.  Actively support the Word Processing / Secretarial team.  Assist attorneys with infrequent travel arrangements. Maintain CE Manager, the firm’s MCLE tracking system, including data entry, profile maintenance, course creation, and reporting.  Maintain attendance records for all CLE programs.  Monitor attorneys’ compliance in all states, as appropriate.  Coordinate year-end reporting requirements.  Coordinate National Academy of Continuing Legal Education (NACLE) membership.  Support the Business Development team with CLE event requirements.  Assist with firm’s accredited provider status in multiple states, including

NY, NJ, PA.

 Keep abreast of CLE regulatory requirements, rules, and procedures.  Maintain CLE mailbox. Requirements  Five years’ Law Firm experience.  Talented Word Processor.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Strong references.  Proficient in

MS Office Suite:

Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint.  Be detail-oriented, organized and attentive.  Be efficient and reliable.  Possess a “can do” attitude and maintain a positive team player mentality.  Able to deliver a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced environment.  Able to communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and team members regarding commitments, deadlines, challenges, requests, etc.  Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.  Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.  Willing and able to learn new skills.
