The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate submission of claims, and maintaining patient records. This role requires a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, coding systems, and the ability to work collaboratively within a medical office environment. Duties Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and third-party payers. Review and verify patient information, including insurance coverage and eligibility. Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 and ICD-9 to ensure proper billing practices. Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and resolving discrepancies. Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any billing-related inquiries or issues. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing and coding, with a strong understanding of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) methodologies. Familiarity with medical collection processes and systems used in healthcare settings. Knowledge of medical records management and compliance standards.
