The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate submission of claims, and maintaining patient records. This role requires a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, coding systems, and the ability to work collaboratively within a medical office environment. Duties Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and third-party payers. Review and verify patient information, including insurance coverage and eligibility. Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 and ICD-9 to ensure proper billing practices. Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and resolving discrepancies. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing and coding, with a strong understanding of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) methodologies. Familiarity with medical collection processes and systems used in healthcare settings. Knowledge of medical records management and compliance standards. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
