Independent Contractor Opportunity:

Florida Medicaid Biller We are seeking a self-employed, independent contractor to manage Florida Medicaid billing processes for our healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will independently handle all aspects of Medicaid billing, including accurate coding, claim submission, and follow-up, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently process and submit Florida Medicaid medical billing claims accurately and in a timely manner. Review patient records for completeness and accuracy prior to billing. Utilize ICD-10 coding, DRG classifications, and other relevant coding systems to ensure proper billing practices. Communicate directly with Medicaid and insurance companies to track claim statuses and resolve any discrepancies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Florida Medicaid billing regulations, guidelines, and compliance standards. Assist in collecting outstanding accounts receivable through your own follow-up efforts. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify coding or billing issues as needed. Ensure all medical records are properly documented, organized, and stored in accordance with privacy laws and regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience with Florida Medicaid billing processes and regulations. Proficiency with medical billing software and systems. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and DRG classification systems. Experience in medical collections is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical office procedures and operations. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent communication skills for liaising with providers, patients, and insurance representatives. Problem-solving skills to efficiently address billing discrepancies and issues.
