Medical Collector Position Available In Broward, Florida

Medical Collector SOC Plantation, FL 33317 Orthopedic practice in need of an experienced full-time Insurance Claims Collector with knowledge of billing and collection policies and procedures and all types of insurance (HMO, PPO, POS, Medicare etc.) In addition to resolving outstanding claims with insurance companies, the medical collector is expected to apply excellent customer service skills while acting as the point of contact. Our ideal candidate must be organized and a team player with a great attitude. Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.

Job Description:

Works A/R unpaid accounts by contacting insurance companies Performs collection actions including contacting patients by telephone. Inputs or updates insurance information when appropriate Works collection pool denials / clearing house rejections daily. Manage and document proper reports Verifies insurance eligibility / PCP / patient benefits to reconcile denied claims. Processes appeals to insurance. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
