Medical Biller and Collections Specialist Position Available In Indian River, Florida

Medical Biller and Collections Specialist Vero Elite Rehab & Orthopedic Surgery Vero Beach, FL 32960 We are looking for a skilled, motivated account receivables and medical biller to join our team. This position is responsible working account receivables and posting charges for outpatient/ in-patient settings . You will be working in a team environment. Excellent opportunity for the right person. Post charges Answer all insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to accounts. Review all EOB’s and review accounts for insurance or patient follow-up. Monitor unpaid balances, denials on insurance claims and account delinquency. Identify and bill secondary or tertiary claims. Follow up and monitor insurance company rejections and unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame. Check all insurance payments for accuracy and compliance with contract discounts and call insurance company for any discrepancies. Work in conjunction with other staff members to promote team effort. Consult practice manager, team members and appropriate resources to solve collection questions and issues. Function as an intermediary between healthcare providers, patients, and health insurance companies. Follow established guidelines for Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurer billing and collections. Protect patient confidentiality, making sure protected health information is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight and logging off computers before leaving it unattended. Maintain Customer Service over the phone. Duties may change at the request of management due to office needs.
