Responsibilities:

Print Payment reports and post over the counter payments Open Mail , sort it by department Answer patient inquiries by phone or in person regarding outstanding account balances and insurance guidelines Send paper claims to secondary insurance, Auto and Worker’s Comp Submit medical records to the plans Scanning day work Work returned statements Identify and prepare patient and insurance refunds as needed Maintain strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations Perform other duties as assigned Assist AR specialist with accounts receivables

Qualifications:

Minimum high school diploma with additional college coursework desired. Two or more years experience in accounting or medical office, preferably in credit and collections. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Ability to identify key problem elements and take or recommend appropriate corrective actions. Ability to work in multi-functional team. Ability to communicate directly with customers in a clear, concise, professional manner. Ability to complete multi tasks and assignments in allotted time frame. Knowledge of third party insurances including government plans Ability to make basic numerical calculations Ability to interpret accounts and records •Required experience: Medical office
