Medical Biller Cardiology Consultants 13411 Parker Commons Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33912 Job Overview We are a growing cardiology practice seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy in medical coding, and facilitating timely collections. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to navigate medical records efficiently. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our practice while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Cardiology experience preferred. Responsibilities Review and verify patient information and insurance details for accuracy. Process medical billing claims using appropriate coding systems such as ICD-10. Ensure proper documentation of medical records to support billing claims. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies in billing or coding. Conduct follow-ups on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their bills and payment options. Assist in the training of new staff on medical billing procedures and systems. Skills Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare processes. Strong knowledge of medical coding, including ICD-10 and cardiology terminology. Experience with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. eClinicalWorks EMR experience preferred. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for accurate claim processing. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Effective communication skills for interactions with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
